How To Shop Second Hand | thredUP

thredUP gave me a site credit in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

Have you guys heard of thredUP? In a nutshell, it’s an online consignment shop for ladies and kids. For this post, I wanted to see how easy it was to find things for me that were stylish (not outdated or out of style), affordable, and high quality. Lets be honest, I think a lot of us avoid sites like this because we are worried we won’t be able to find those things! I was pleasantly surprised by the gems I easily found at thredUP.

I used the size filters and also chose “new with tags” to narrow down my choices. I wound up with THREE super cute, must-have pieces and I can’t wait to show you!

A Light Jacket (Free People)

I picked out this neutral jacket because I thought I would get a ton of wear out of it. It’s light enough to wear year round with a variety of outfits. I love Free People’s boho styles and designs and this was no exception. For this outfit, I wore it with my casual momiform on a cooler summer night.

An Elegant Maxi (ASOS)

I’m so glad I found this maxi! It’s long enough for me to wear with wedges which makes me super happy as a semi-tall girl. The best maxi dress should make it where all you have to think about is jewelry, shoes, and bold lipstick; the dress does the rest of the talking! I went to ASOS website to check out their size chart to make sure it was the right size and it fit perfectly.

A Shirt Dress (J.Crew)

Shirt dresses are a must! I already own a lot of J.Crew pieces, so I was really excited to see this cute little chambray dress up for grabs. In fact, thredUP had several J.Crew options! Again, I double checked the size chart and added it to my cart. Chambray is so versatile, it can be dressed up or down and worn all year! For this look, I added a bright colored necklace and wedges, but I have also worn it with gladiator sandals and simple jewelry! And THIS is exciting- thredUp is offering 50% off first-time orders for J.Crew items! The code is: JCREW50

I highly recommend seeing what you can find on thredUP! I love my finds and paid a tiny fraction of what I would have in stores or online, and bonus: they were all new with tags!

All of these outfits are so cute! It’s great when you can find fashionable, affordable second-hand clothing, even though there’s a negative stigma about it. Thanks for sharing!
